At the general debate of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly in September 2021, President Xi Jinping proposed the “Global Development Initiative (GDI)”, which focuses on key areas such as poverty reduction, climate change and green development, industrialization, digital economy, and interconnectivity. GDI has contributed China’s solutions and wisdom to solving global challenges and received positive responses from the international community. In June 2022, when presiding over the High-Level Dialogue on Global Development, President Xi Jinping elaborated on the political consensus of all parties on global development and put forward practical cooperation measures around key areas of GDI. The achievements list of the Dialogue presents to “promote the building of New Industrial Revolution Partnership and help countries to enhance their capacity of seizing the opportunities of the Fourth Industrial Revolution”.
